A V-day post.

I've always believed that God has carefully planned my life for me...

That's why I do not regret any experience and simply enjoy the wonderful blessings that come my way.

I recently had a realization that I'd like to share...

So far, my boyfriend count has been: ONE.
And I plan to keep it that way!
And people would almost always be amazed that I've been keeping a relationship with only ONE person for more than SIX YEARS...
And, for some reason, as a common "outlet" of love stories-slash-problems, in the end the people I've come to talk to would eventually say how lucky I am with my "love life"...
And i just smile.

I never expected I would have someone who is smart, independent, 101% responsible, super loyal, extra sweet, understanding, and loving. (cheesy, i know!)

Anyway,

At this point in our relationship, we're honestly talking and opening up to the idea of the big M... Marriage.
It's actually never been taboo for us.
In fact, we're looking forward to it!
And belonging to a generation where people marry very young...
We secretly get jealous of people who could afford a house or condo, and a fancy wedding at a young age...
When we stress out at the office (him even trying to find sideline work), put aside some money with our mean salary (considering he has to pay rent, the car loan, and bills, and i have siblings to support)...
Earning gradually, our closest time to getting married would be in 2-3 years...considering we already have a decent place to live and a budget for an intimate wedding in Caleruega...

But hey!
What's the rush?

My realization is this:
We are on the right track.

Don't get me wrong, I love the feeling of spending for my family.
I love buying them gifts I never thought I'd afford...
And I love the satisfaction I get from earning!
I have another account where i deposit a percent of my salary every payday, and Jejo has the ATM card so I don't get to use it, except for emergencies of course :p

And another thing, I love the feeling of missing him, because we only see each other once a week...
I enjoy the boyfriend-girlfriend hangouts and adventures to new experiences and places (places we couldn't go to before kasi wala pang car!)
I secretly fancy the petty fights that don't last for a few minutes.
I like to talk to him about everything: my success and failures, how my day went, what i discovered, what i bought, when i feel like ranting about something ETC!
I'm a bliss when he calls me at night before we go to sleep...and calls me in the morning when he wakes up (special thanks to SUN of course)...

And so, I truly believe God has this planned for us...
We just have to wait for our right time.

super fun-ny birthday

yeah yeah, i'm 21, big deal.
but i had a very fun-ny birthday.

well first, may pre birthday celebration muna kami ng family ko nung Jan 31.
Treat ni papa saming dalawa ng sister ko, kasi a week apart lang birthdays namin :D
(Januray 28 birthday niya)

Anyhoo, on the day of my birthday,
HINDI ALAM ng officemates ko na birthday ko..
BWAHAHAHA!
eh uploading ng project ko that day..
but thank God natapos siya ng morning
kaya i had the liberty to take the half day off...
hehe..tapos na project package eh, bakit ba?
pag-alis ko, tinext ko yung Job Captain ko na half day nga ako
at siya nalang magsabi sa kay Ma'am Ira (my Design Manager for the project)
na uploaded na yung project...at dahil...birthday ko! :p

haha...
ang daya ko daw.lol.
Then after, Sir Eric called:
"Lique! loka ka birthday mo pala, di ka nagsasabi..."
pasahan na ng cellphone...puro greetings..
tawa lang ako nang tawa, HAHA!
the next day, i recieved belated birthday greetings from my officemates, hehe.

On my birthday, ang dami kong na receive na messages...
talagang nag flood ang inbox ko! amazing! haha.

siyempre, dumeyt ang mga enok..
we watched INKHEART (ganda!)
and ate dinner at KAYA..
(but Jap and Chinese food parin ako, Korean is weird tasting... :p)

siyempre di magpapahuli mga pinsan ko sa birthday chorvaness...

Our ever favorite Red Ribbon Chocolate roll :p

And, just this Saturday, i treated my friends to a Persian dinner at Persopolis Katips

Anyway, basta super duper fun!!
i told Jejo isa toh sa most memorable birthdays ko..
yung iba nung 15th birthday ko nung binigyan ako ng isang dosenang white roses ni enok na pinaabot niya sa gurad ng school..despite the fact na greving period niya nun nung namatay mother niya (AAWW).
the other one was my 18th birthday of course!
kahit walang traditional party, my friends and family made an effort to make it memorable :D
...with the recorded messages, kurecolors, and pancake frenzy (wee!)

I thank th Almightly Lord God for granting me another year!
...and for all the loving people around me,
my family, my friends, jejo...
it's because of them i feel so much blessed.

trip to PRC

January 27, 2009.
it was a tuesday.
yes i had work.
but i also needed a break form handling my "3-in-1 project"
rawr.
the stress!!!

Anyway, i was going to meet Cathe, Kuya Onin, and JQ at SC.
hehe, i was there earlier kaya nagpa-xerox nako ng requirements.

Fast forward...
I formally met Kuya Onin and JQ na.
grabe sa kalokohan ang dalawa!
hehe.
Sosyal, JQ had a "chauffeur" to drive us to PRC.
kumusta naman?
anyhoo, we waited for Talia at PRC already,
she had to get her picture taken and a cedula.

Apparently, di pala kami sa PRC dapat pumunta mismo.
sa may Ever Gotesco 2nd floor daw kami...
Special ang LA? dunno.
the whole place was so so busy.
last week of filing na kasi ng mga mag te-take ng LET,
so swarming with future teachers ang PRC.
good thing narin na hindi kami dun magpapasa ng requirements. hehe.
kasi sa Ever aircon :p
tsaka for some reason, di na kami kailangan makisabay sa pila...
hihi, siguro nga dahil iba yung ina-aapplyan namin...
or maybe charming kami, HAHA!
dunno.
blah.

ergo, natapos kami hassle-free :D
yay!

nakipag-kwentuhan ako siyempre kina Talia at Cathe.
Na-miss ko ang mga mare :)

good thing too that the gift wrapping was free of charge. wee!

(ate an! i bought narin! hehe)
Finally, i bought pants for myself...first time ever! swear!
kasi lagi si mama namimili for us! :D
yay accomplishment!

So anyway, we went home yesterday unexpected...
well, not 100% unexpected...kasi alam ni mama :)
dapat kasi saturday morning pa kami uuwi...

confession of a shoeholic...

Yesterday, i planned to have my hair undergo a hot oil treatment...
because my hair had gone bad! (or is it just me? :p)
...maybe because of stress
or maybe because i haven't been well-adjusted with my new work schedule
(7AM to 4PM nako...for board reviewing purposes)
...i needed something to relieve me!

Instead, i ended up buying...a new pair of shoes!
Why?
Well, I actually haven't bought myself anything for the past holiday season.
nah-dah!
So I promised moi to buy a bag or white shoes or glads with heels...

Frustrated with the expensive hot oil treatment price of Going Straight
(considering maikli na nga ang buhok ko...o baka niloloko lang ako ni ate sa counter),
I opted to buy the holiday gift for me instead :D

Tumingin ako ng bags...
but i did not like any...
and behold!
I smiled at the sight of shoes :D
kasama ko ang aking dear cousin, Grace, sa pagpili ng shoes
(kasi gusto rin sana niya ng white shoes)

and then we saw...

Peep-toe Lace-up Shoes!
*drool*
hanganda!
it comes in black too.

and then there was...

the wedged gladiators :D
in cute beige-yellow, classic black, and chocolate brown...

gusto ko sila pareho
pero isa lang dapat!
the other one was way over my budget,
i didn't wanna splurge
(sapagkat nag-iipon ako! for uh, somethin' BIG! hehe)
so it was easy to choose...

and the winner is...

tada!
the glads.
bow.
besides i also wanted a yellow pair anyway.
plus it makes my feet look nice and fair :p
Parisian nga pala sila pareho.
hihi...

wha!
...after a few months na ulit till the next shoe purchase!
