Because of Ondoy, i didnt get to go home!

Aw. i miss my fam super!
bumili pa naman ako ng sylvanias for them para ipasalubong...
9am in the morning of September 26, 2009...malakas parin ang ulan...
kinagabihan pa nun umuulan ng malakas, kasi late nako nakauwi nung Friday night kasi traffic at matagal bago makabalik yung mga shuttle...

Anyway, sabi ni Jejo that Saturday morning na patilain muna namin yung ulan...
baka kasi after lunch wala na, pwede na kami umuwi..
Automatic aksi si Kochi kaya di pwede isulong sa malakas na ulan...
Tinetext nako nila mama, asking if tuloy kami sa pagluwas, and i said that we'll wait for the rain to stop or at least let it pour lightly...

But then again...
nagsimula na bumaha sa labas ng bahay...so i texted mama na that we wouldnt be able to go home...AAWW...

And then around 12 noon, nagsimula na pumasok yung tubig sa loob...it all started with the maid's CR...bumaha dun unexpectedly!
And then lo and behold!
abot na hanggang talampakan yung tubig...
yes, EEWW..brown yung water :P
everything happened so fast...
nagsi-akyat na kami ng mga gamit...

SUPER ADRENALINE RUSH! yung REF at TV nabuhat pa namin! :))
and we saved 4 dogs...yung 2 naiwan sa backyard, di na namin nakuha dahil mataas na yung tubig, pero safe naman sila, nakahanap ng tutuntungan...

thinking ipapasalubong ko pa yun next week!
And OF COURSE! i saved my SHOES!!!!
well, not all of them, yung iba nabasa...lalo na yung Schu ko! HUHUHU..
oh well, thou shant buy faux leather shoes EVER! :p

Fast forward...around 2 pm...the water kept rising...up to my waist siguro!
di na maaninag yung dining table!
we rested na by then...we were tired
di pa kami kumakain O_o
at yung sylvanias na sinave ko...ended up being our lunch :p
di kami makapagluto eh, baha yung kalan...
buti nlng kuya bought sushi earlier nung umuwi siya from work (call center)
TADA! eto ang lunch namin...
its better than NOTHING diba?
si Cristine Reyes nga alang food eh :p
anyway, we played games to kill the time..
i started the "Going on a Trip (What will you bring)" Game...
haha..Kuya Vin introduced "Petals Around the Roses" (WOOHOO! i guessed the logic behind the game...oh well, cant tell you) try nyo...

Anyhoo, super fast forward...7pm nagsubside na finally yung baha...
kagulo sa bahay! SUPER PUTIK!
But then again, we can do nothing about it then kasi nga brownout.
We bought baliwag for dinner...dyan lang kasi sa tapat yung bilihan...
and nakapag saing na naman sa kaldero.Thank you Lord for the food!

T'was 3am nung nagka kuryente na...

Ngayon, di pa sobrang ayos, although di na maputik yung sahig...
The Oven, Ref, and Washing Machine, and the Cars...we're not so sure if they're working...
Hopefully naman...pinapatuyo pa kasi...

Ergo, this is a phenomenon i SHALL NEVER FORGET!
i miss my family very much...(aw, cheesy!)
nextweek uwi ako promise!
...and ill have another batch of Sylvanias to bring home :D

KWENTO #1 - A TOOTH STORY
i recently had an impacted tooth extraction...di ko na nainda ang sakit ng lock jaw ko...
so hello Dentist! au revoir 4 thousand bucks!
it was worth it anyway, ala nakong lock jaw and Tita Lizette did surgery in like 15mins! galeng!
but my face was bloated, ugh, i was depressed, i felt U-G-L-Y! blah.
KWENTO #2 - TIME TRAVELLING UP!
August 22, we celebrated my cousin Stephanie's 18th birthday watching Disney's UP! 3D STYLE! :D
and then had a food fest at their house and a sleep over! (the ice cream cake was from mike and me, from Bake and Churn)
F-U-N!
The next day Jejo and I watched TIME TRAVELLER'S WIFE...
it was mind-boggling O_o but heart-warming :D

we just super adore the three lil puppies here (all girls)!
Maki (the mom) had them about a month ago i think :D
Sushi is the dad :p so, go figure why the puppies' names are like these...

Well, as you know, i just got back from  out of town trip with friends and family 
I was planning to get some tan, so does jejo...we think we're too pale! haha, nyah, we just wanted to look different naman... (the tan brings out/emphasizes the muscles daw kasi! lol)

Anyway, i acheived a very very light layer of tan...bitin! My officemates didn't even notice, kung di ko pa sinabi na nangitim ako! hahaha!

More on Fathers' Day news, ang cute ni papa, kasi nung bumibili kasi sa Department Store after lunch, kinalabit niya ko and then saying: "Bili mokong belt (smile)"

Aww. ang cute, parang bata ang papa ko! hahaha! nagpapabili sakin ng belt! hihi.
I didn't mind of course. I bought him the belt he wanted. it was no biggie.
Nakakatuwa lang talaga, pati si mama natawa.

At para di magtampo si mother dear, i bought us some shoes...(SALE eh! hehe, hihiramin ko rin naman yun minsan, harhar)
I bought leather flats from MKNY, ang wedges from Mario D' Boro...300 bucks each! kaching!

A V-day post.

I've always believed that God has carefully planned my life for me...

That's why I do not regret any experience and simply enjoy the wonderful blessings that come my way.

I recently had a realization that I'd like to share...

So far, my boyfriend count has been: ONE.
And I plan to keep it that way!
And people would almost always be amazed that I've been keeping a relationship with only ONE person for more than SIX YEARS...
And, for some reason, as a common "outlet" of love stories-slash-problems, in the end the people I've come to talk to would eventually say how lucky I am with my "love life"...
And i just smile.

I never expected I would have someone who is smart, independent, 101% responsible, super loyal, extra sweet, understanding, and loving. (cheesy, i know!)

Anyway,

At this point in our relationship, we're honestly talking and opening up to the idea of the big M... Marriage.
It's actually never been taboo for us.
In fact, we're looking forward to it!
And belonging to a generation where people marry very young...
We secretly get jealous of people who could afford a house or condo, and a fancy wedding at a young age...
When we stress out at the office (him even trying to find sideline work), put aside some money with our mean salary (considering he has to pay rent, the car loan, and bills, and i have siblings to support)...
Earning gradually, our closest time to getting married would be in 2-3 years...considering we already have a decent place to live and a budget for an intimate wedding in Caleruega...

But hey!
What's the rush?

My realization is this:
We are on the right track.

Don't get me wrong, I love the feeling of spending for my family.
I love buying them gifts I never thought I'd afford...
And I love the satisfaction I get from earning!
I have another account where i deposit a percent of my salary every payday, and Jejo has the ATM card so I don't get to use it, except for emergencies of course :p

And another thing, I love the feeling of missing him, because we only see each other once a week...
I enjoy the boyfriend-girlfriend hangouts and adventures to new experiences and places (places we couldn't go to before kasi wala pang car!)
I secretly fancy the petty fights that don't last for a few minutes.
I like to talk to him about everything: my success and failures, how my day went, what i discovered, what i bought, when i feel like ranting about something ETC!
I'm a bliss when he calls me at night before we go to sleep...and calls me in the morning when he wakes up (special thanks to SUN of course)...

And so, I truly believe God has this planned for us...
We just have to wait for our right time.

super fun-ny birthday

yeah yeah, i'm 21, big deal.
but i had a very fun-ny birthday.

well first, may pre birthday celebration muna kami ng family ko nung Jan 31.
Treat ni papa saming dalawa ng sister ko, kasi a week apart lang birthdays namin :D
(Januray 28 birthday niya)

Anyhoo, on the day of my birthday,
HINDI ALAM ng officemates ko na birthday ko..
BWAHAHAHA!
eh uploading ng project ko that day..
but thank God natapos siya ng morning
kaya i had the liberty to take the half day off...
hehe..tapos na project package eh, bakit ba?
pag-alis ko, tinext ko yung Job Captain ko na half day nga ako
at siya nalang magsabi sa kay Ma'am Ira (my Design Manager for the project)
na uploaded na yung project...at dahil...birthday ko! :p

Then after, Sir Eric called:

yung iba nung 15th birthday ko nung binigyan ako ng isang dosenang white roses ni enok na pinaabot niya sa gurad ng school..despite the fact na greving period niya nun nung namatay mother niya (AAWW).
the other one was my 18th birthday of course!
kahit walang traditional party, my friends and family made an effort to make it memorable :D
...with the recorded messages, kurecolors, and pancake frenzy (wee!)

I thank th Almightly Lord God for granting me another year!
...and for all the loving people around me,
my family, my friends, jejo...
it's because of them i feel so much blessed.
