first practicum week

For this summer, i'm undergoing my practicum. sa Polygon Ventures ako napunta sa N. Domingo Street.

I take two jeepney rides from Tandang Sora to Balara, then from Balara to Katipunan. From there I take the LRT to Gilmore tapos hintayan kami ni Faith then konting lakad nalang nasa office na kami! hehehe.

Polygon Ventures is a landscape contracting company, unlike my other blockmates na napunta sa mga design firms, owned and managed by Arch. Ezra Castillo. Ok rin ang office environment, mababait ang mga tao dun at marami kaming natututunan ni Faith dahil mga enginneer, accountant, at horticulturists ang nakakasalamuha namin dun.

Well nung 1st two days namin dun eh bum kami ni Faith. Puro browse ng plans at basa ng books ang ginagawa namin, busy kasi ang mga tao dun. Eventually, may mga pinagawa narin samin, nagpadesign ng streetscapes at mini park for Amvel Mansions sa Paranaque (which eventually daw baka nga designs namin ang gagamitin...hahahaha! la lang kakaiba ang fulfillment...chorva...hapee...)

after nung memorial horrific experiece sa design class just this sem eh viola! eto may memorial park na pinapadesign sa amin...
hay, buti nalang tulong kami ni Faith...hehehe

Ang maganda sa work (contracting work) eh ang aircon! hehe joke... I mean, we learn to design for a limited budget...siyempre mga boss namin gusto nila mas economical otherwise cheap hehe.which is , of course, practical...tsaka exposed kami sa site and building...nextime daw kasi pag may transpo eh isasama kami sa site at makikita namin na nabubuhay ang design!fun fun fun...sana nga mag site visit na soon! hmph...at ang gusto ko talaga makita ay ang plant nursery nila sa tagaytay...hehehe

exposed din kami sa prices ng mga hardscape at softscape materials (senxa kung ma-jargon po...) and yung mga practical methods ng construction ng sari-saring bagay...one more good thing about work is that the people there in Polygon are like family...ang close nila tapos kalog..so fun naman...

aliw rin ako sa timecard...la lang...mababaw ang aking kaligayahan i know.
although nakakapagod ang trabaho...kasi nga from 8am to 5pm ka sa office tapos byahe pa ko pauwi..hay...

sabi nga ng tito ko eh i-enjoy ko muna ang school life ko...kasi pag nagtatrabaho na eh limited na ang oras mo for yourself, for socials, for family, for friends...for anything!...including rest! wha! grabe ang threat noh? hehe...pero totoo yan...
ang tingin ko naman depende naman yan sa work...kung fulfillinf naman eh why not...basta the pagod is worth it..kung hindi...it's simply time to find another job...hehe...true right?
